History has had its periods of magnificent excess, when vast amounts of human effort were devoted to cultural projects that transcended the necessities of survival and commerce. Obvious examples begin with the construction of the great pyramids. Much later, Europe's cathedrals were the ultimate commitment of society's surplus energy to expressions of the spirit. The explorations of the remote r...
متن کاملsynthesis of 2-phosphonobutane-1, 2, 4-tricarboxylic acid
2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid is(pbtc) a member of phosphonate family, and used as corrosion and scale inhibitor in cooling water systems. phosphonocarboxylates as a member of organophosphorus compounds have c-p and p-o bonds in their structures. pbtc is mainly used as carbonate scale inhibitor (caco3), sulphate scale inhibitor (caso4), corrosion inhibitor of low alloyed steel, eff...
متن کامل2-(4-Acetamidophenoxy)-2-methylpropanoic acid
In the title compound, C12H15NO4, the dihedral angle between the acetamide group and the ring is 29.6 (2)(su?)°. In the crystal mol-ecules are linked through N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, thereby forming corrugated sheets propagating in the ac plane. These sheets are composed of R4(4)(28) graph-set motifs.
متن کاملphoto -chemical degradation of 2, 4- dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2, 4-d) in the effluent
background: 2, 4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid (2, 4-d) is well known as inexpensive herbicides but it can give rise to undesirable pollution. the objective of this investigation was to describe a photo-chemical system for degradation of 2, 4-d. methods: a designed photolytic cell system was used in this study with a 150w or 400w uv lamp. a set of experiments was carried out at ph 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 a...
